Our Story

325 Consulting was formed in 2011 by Tim Carroll and Dominic Moore who, with 15+ years of experience recruiting Strategy & Finance roles, saw the opportunity to focus on and specialise in management consulting talent. They liked the forward-looking and dynamic nature of consulting and were attracted to working with this highly capable and engaged talent pool.

We often get asked where our name “325 Consulting” comes from. Working with management consultants who are highly numerical and ultimately driving top and bottom-line performance, Tim and Dominic wanted the name of their new business to be a meaningful number.

Very quickly it became clear that the number to use was 325 which is meant to be read as 3 to 5. Because, as every management consultant knows, it’s a 3 to 5 year strategic plan, there are 3 to 5 strategic objectives in a strategy and 3 to 5 initiatives to deliver on each of those strategic objectives. In addition, we liked that 3 + 2 + 5 = 10 and we are in the business of finding and placing 10/10 candidates.

Tim Co-Founded 325 Consulting in 2011, where he leads the Interim Consulting and Professional Services practices. Upon graduating from the University of Southampton with a Bachelor of Science in Business Economics, he spent seven years recruiting in London before emigrating to Australia in 2003. In Sydney, Tim spent eight years with established search firms before co-founding 325 Consulting. Having spent over 20+ years delivering permanent and interim assignments, he is still energised by advancing the careers of management consultants.

​Dom Co-Founded 325 Consulting in 2011, where he leads the Private Equity and Commercial practices.  Upon graduating from Loughborough University with a Bachelor of Science in Geography, he spent several years working in his family healthcare business before joining a listed global recruitment firm, moving with them to Sydney in 2001. After a decade working in Sydney, 325 Consulting was created with Tim, to focus on delivering interesting, career-building opportunities for our defined talent pool.

Kate holds a Bachelor of Business in Human Resources and a Masters Degree in Organisational Coaching.
